Common Dental Emergencies & What to Do

• Knocked-Out Tooth: Don't touch the root; place it in milk or back in the socket and see a dentist within an hour if possible.
• Lost Crown/Filling: Save it; rinse gently and try to reattach with denture adhesive, or use dental wax to cover a sensitive tooth.
• Severe Pain, Swelling, or Abscess: Call immediately for an emergency appointment, as infections can worsen quickly.
• Broken Tooth: Save the chipped piece; a dentist might be able to bond it back on.
