Implants
Single Tooth Implant
A single Tooth Implant replaces a missing tooth with an artificial root (titanium post), an abutment connector, and a custom crown, providing a durable, natural-looking, and functional solution that prevents bone loss and doesn't affect adjacent teeth, unlike bridges. The process involves placing the implant in the jawbone, allowing it to fuse (osseointegration), then attaching the abutment and crown for a permanent, strong replacement that looks, feels, and acts like a natural tooth.
How it Works
- Implant Placement: A titanium screw is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth root was.
- Osseointegration: The jawbone gradually fuses with the implant, creating a stable anchor (this takes months).
- Abutment Attachment: A connector piece (abutment) is placed on top of the implant.
- Crown Placement: A custom-made crown, matched to your natural teeth, is attached to the abutment.
